Kabaka Foundation Through The DREEM Hub Project Is In Busiro To Sensitize Farmers In Kasanje Sub County On The Productive Use Of Solar In Agriculture.

The Kabaka Foundation concluded a successful meeting with nearly 400 farmers from Kasanje and Nsangi, focusing on modern agricultural technology and solar energy to enhance production and food security. The event, attended by Honorable Hajji Hamis Kakomo, Minister for Agriculture, Cooperatives, and Trade, and Omuk. Kaggwa Ndagala, Executive Director of the Kabaka Foundation, emphasized the importance of cooperatives and sustainable agriculture. The meeting also highlighted the DREEM hub project’s model farm in Busiro, aimed at providing hands-on training for farmers, aligning with the foundation’s mission to support poverty alleviation, education, and cultural preservation in Buganda.

Promoting The Productive Use Of Solar Energy In Buganda

The Kabaka Foundation participated in a hands-on training on the productive use of solar energy organized by Heifer International Uganda & Joint Energy and Environment Projects (JEEP) and JEEP offices on Gayaza. During the training, we explored and learnt from clean innovations at JEEP like solar powered dryers, cold storage, irrigation systems and several clean cooking solutions.

Advocating for these sustainable practices in Buganda will boost agricultural production, prevent spoilage and enhance food security while preserving the earth!

Kabaka Foundation Tubeere Balamu Health Campaign In Ssingo

Today, we’re wrapping up the health camp with a closing ceremony officiated by the ministry of local government Buganda Kingdom,Owek Joseph kawuki representing the Kabaka.
Yesterday’s official opening ceremony was graciously officiated by Omulangira David Wassajja, who also delivered the Kabaka’s message to the people of Ssingo.
We’re glad to report that the health camp has been a huge success, with overwhelming turnout and efficient healthcare services provided by our team of over 400 health workers from 37 partnering institutions. The weather has been kind to us, with light sunshine and no rain so far. We’re grateful to all our partners and for the support and look forward to continuing to serve our communities.

Omutaka Augustin Kizito Mutumba Leads Closing Ceremony of Tubeere Balamu Health Camp in Busiro

Omutaka Augustin Kizito Mutumba, representing the Kabaka, officiated the closing ceremony of the Tubeere Balamu Health Camp in Busiro, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve. He emphasized the importance of practicing basic health habits, including personal hygiene, stressing that good health begins with individual responsibility. Omutaka Mutumba encouraged the Kabaka’s subjects to prioritize their well-being.

Omutaka Mutumba toured the camp, visiting the health stations and appreciating the partnering health institutions for their exceptional services. He commended the health teams for their outstanding work.

Omutaka Mutumba was accompanied by the Executive Director of the Kabaka Foundation, Omuk. Kaggwa Edward Ndagala, Owek. Charles Kiberu, the Busiro chief, Omutaka Samson Nabbimba, Head of the Kinyomo Clan, Rev. Father Lawrence Kanyike of St. Joseph’s Catholic Parish in Kyengera, and other members of the clergy.

The Tubeere Balamu Health Camp in Busiro has provided free medical services to thousands, promoting health and wellness in the community, as directed by the Kabaka.

The Kabaka Foundation’s Tubeere Balamu Health Camp in Busiro – Day 1

The Kabaka Foundation’s Tubeere Balamu Health Camp in Busiro has kicked off with a bang, providing free comprehensive health services to over 2339 patients on its first day. The two-day camp, which ends tomorrow, January 29, 2025, is to offers free health education, medical check-ups, treatment, and even blood donation services.

The event was a huge success, with patients queuing up as early as 5 am outside St. Joseph Catholic Parish in Kyengera. The foundation’s partnership with various health institutions made this initiative possible.

The camp was graced by esteemed guests, including:
Owek. Waggwa Nsibirwa, 2nd Deputy Katikiro, who presented the Kabaka, Owek. Cotilida Nakate, Minister of Health, Buganda Kingdom, Archbishop Paul Ssemogerere, Archbishop of Namirembe Diocese, Rt. Rev. Moses Banja, supreme Mufti Sheikh Mohammed Galabuzi, Owek Christopher Bwanika the Attorney General of Buganda Kingdom and Kabaka Foundation board member

The Kabaka Foundation is proud to promote health and wellness in Buganda, and this health camp is just one of the many initiatives under their 3-year Tubeere Balamu health campaign, which aims to uplift health standards in the kingdom

Kabaka Foundation Diaspora Board Members Visit Bulange, Mengo

On 13th January 2025, 10 board members of the Foundation’s Diaspora branches (Canada, Sweden, Denmark, the UK, and Ireland) visited the Foundation’s headquarters in Bulange, Mengo, for a meeting. The meeting focused on strengthening the Foundation’s work in health, education, and cultural heritage.
The meeting, led by Chief Executive Director Omuk. Eddie Kaggwa Ndagala, recognized the Foundation’s achievements in health, education, cultural heritage and community development initiatives. It focused on expanding vocational education and advancing agricultural initiatives under the Heifer-MOTT partnership. Omuk. Ndagala thanked the board members for their dedication, highlighting the importance of unity in driving progress and supporting communities.
