WASH Program (Water and Sanitation)
Bearing in mind that slum (omugotteko) communities face poor health living conditions. The Kabaka foundation through the slum (omugotteko) programme aims to address this by promoting and sensitizing people in slums on healthy living, to improve hygiene standards within the slum communities.
A significant portion (80%) of these communities lack access to modern wash facilities, leading to increased vulnerability to water-related diseases and hygiene challenges. The Kabaka foundation reached out and contracted 8 community toilets in the slum areas of Kampala alongside extensive education on health and hygiene.
